Silver North Resources (TSX-V:SNAG) is set to expand upon its discovery at the Haldane Project in Yukon, Canada, via a 10-hole follow-up diamond drilling program.
The program will target expansion of Keno-style silver lead-zinc mineralisation at the newly identified Main Fault target. The target is a wide zone with at least three silver veins identified to date.
Paycore Diamond Drilling has been engaged as the drill contractor for the program, while Hardline Exploration Services will provide staffing and camp support. The program is expected to begin mid-August 2025.
One hole will test the continuity of mineralisation 60m down dip of the drillhole HLD24-30 intersection.
The remaining holes, subject to in-field adjustments due to logistical consideration or visual results, will comprise fans of three holes on sections 50 to 100m southwest and 50m northeast of the discovery section to test the strike and depth continuity of mineralisation.
Silver North says timing and budget permitting, one hole may also be completed at the Bighorn target, following up on silver-bearing quartz-siderite-galena veins intersected in the only drillhole at Bighorn.
CEO Jason Weber says with high-grade silver intersections of 1.83m @ 1,088 grams per tonne silver and 3.90g/t gold, as well as wider intersections of silver mineralisation such as 5.81m @ 365g/t silver and 0.23g/t gold, the Main Fault has elevated to the highest priority of the five targets.
As Mining.com.au reported, Canadian junior explorers are jumping in on the silver lining as the precious metal touches new highs. Trading Economics reports silver’s increase represents a 27.68% jump over the year to date as the commodity hits its highest price since August 2011.
Silver sat at $58.01 (US$37.40) per ounce as of 31 July according to ABC Bullion.
The Haldane Project, covering 8.164 hectares, is an under-explored silver asset in a historical silver mining region in Yukon Territory known as Keno Hill Silver District.
