Silver North pinpoints Main Fault focus

After returning C$2.1 million ($2.35 million) to fund exploration in Yukon, Silver North Resources (TSX-V:SNAG) is ready to streamline its focus across the Main Fault zone with upcoming drilling.

Speaking to Mining.com.au, CEO Jason Weber says the company’s surface observations expect to extend the Main Fault discovery by over 300m in strike length.

“This program is designed to test that potential,” Weber tells this news service.

“The idea for us is to show a pathway to an average sized Keno District silver deposit at the Main Fault, which with the silver grades we have seen so far and the vein widths observed here and elsewhere on the property is something we see possible.

“Our biggest milestone is to expand the Main Fault discovery as this is the biggest value driver for Silver North.”

The company expects to begin drilling at the Haldane Project next month, before returning results in Q4 2025.

Weber adds that this upcoming program will follow up a 2024 program at the project, which streamlined the company’s focus on the area after identifying three veins within a 28.36m intersection.

Results include 3.05m of 460 grams per tonne silver, 1.83m of 1,088g/t silver, and 3.03m of 423g/t silver from these veins.

“We are targeting high grade silver deposits in an established (more than 100 years old) silver district in the Keno Hill area of Yukon Territory where we have proven we can make new Keno vein-style discoveries that set us apart,” Weber tells Mining.com.au.

Silver North has landholdings in the newly emerging Silvertip District, with its Tim Project comprising 72 mineral claims with Coeur Mining (NYSE:CDE) earning a 51% interest in the project for funding exploration.

The company will provide C$3.55 million in exploration over a five-year term, with the opportunity to extend its holdings to 80% with a positive Feasibility Study within eight years.

“Both of these districts are anchored by two of North America’s largest silver producers in Hecla Mining (NYSE:HL) and Coeur, a strong indication of these being excellent silver districts,” Weber adds.

Silver North Resources is a Canadian explorer looking to advance its silver prospects in the Keno Hill District in Yukon.
