Sienna hires Titan for maiden drilling

Sienna Resources (TSX-V:SIEN) has appointed Titan Drilling to conduct the maiden drill program at its Esmeralda County Gold Project in Nevada, US, with work expected to begin in the coming weeks.

Esmeralda County covers 1,156 acres, although Sienna provided no further geological or exploration details in its latest announcement.

President Jason Gigliotti says the campaign will be Sienna’s first drilling program of 2026 and forms part of several work programs planned for the second half of the year.

“This is very exciting for Sienna management and shareholders. This is our maiden drill program on this project and the first drill program this year,” Gigliotti says.

He adds that the company has just over 45 million shares outstanding and sufficient cash to progress multiple programs during the remainder of 2026.

Sienna’s broader Nevada portfolio includes the wholly owned, 1,828-acre Elko Lithium Project and the 1,231-acre Cave Creek Lithium Project, both in Elko County.

The properties border and are largely surrounded by Surge Battery Metals’ (TSX-V:NILI) Nevada North Lithium Project. Results or mineralisation on neighbouring properties are not necessarily indicative of mineralisation at Sienna’s projects.

Sienna also holds the 2,300-acre Deep Basin Lithium Brine Joint Venture in Clayton Valley, Nevada.

Outside Nevada, its portfolio includes the 31,718-acre Stonesthrow Project in Saskatchewan, which the company considers prospective for gold, silver, and copper. Stonesthrow adjoins Ramp Metals’ (TSX-V:RAMP) Rottenstone Project.
