Si6 Metals (ASX:SI6) has launched a combination of reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling at its Airstrip Copper-Gold Project in Botswana.
Through this drilling work, the company aims to extend the known ‘high-grade’ copper-gold (Cu-Au) supergene discovery zone and primary copper sulphides in the area intersected in previous drilling. These are associated with numerous conductors mapped in audio-frequency magnetotellurics (AMT) and induced polarisation (IP) surveys with coincident soil geochemical anomalies over a 2.5km-long and 1km-wide area.
Si6, which has a $15.95 million market capitalisation, plans to test additional conductive geophysical anomalies at Airstrip as it advances its pipeline of prospects.
This exploration program is part of a 10,000m drilling program being undertaken by the company, which includes the Dibete Copper-Silver and Maibele North Nickel-Copper-Platinum Group Elements projects.
Si6 says that drilling and sampling is ongoing at Dibete, with initial results anticipated later this month.
Si6 Metals is a diversified critical metals and minerals explorer with a portfolio of projects in Botswana, Brazil, and Western Australia.
As of 30 June 2023, the company had $604,000 cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report. Subsequent to the end of the quarter, Si6 Metals completed a non-renounceable pro-rata entitlement offer and shortfall offer to raise $3 million.
