Star receives Tumblegum South mining approval

Star Minerals (ASX:SMS) has received its final approval to begin mining at the Tumblegum South Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company received a native vegetation clearing permit for the project from the Western Australian Department of Mines, Petroleum, and Exploration.

Star is currently preparing for mining at the project, which will be subject to operation decisions by MEGA Resources as per the two parties right to mine agreement.

Grade control drilling across Tumblegum South has been completed and MEGA Resources is ready to mobilise for site preparations.

As reported by Mining.com.au, Star restarted grade control drilling at the project in mid-January for a total of 4,000m, with 611m of drilling completed prior to the Christmas break, coordinated by MEGA Resources.

Located 40km south-southeast of Meekatharra in Western Australia, the Tumblegum South Project hosts a resource of 616,000 tonnes @ 2.28 grams per tonne gold for 45,000 ounces of contained gold.

Star Minerals is a gold explorer focused on developing the Tumblegum South Project for production in early 2026.
