A Scoping Study is coming for Critica’s (ASX:CRI) fully owned Mount Lindsay Tin-Tungsten Project in Tasmania, with DRA Global appointed to lead it.
The study has an aim of repositioning the project as an environmental, social, and governance-aligned critical minerals project.
DRA will evaluate low-impact underground development strategies such as backfill and paste solutions to reduce the tailings footprint. It will also assess concept-level underground mining operations and support partnerships and value realisation pathways, along with other strategic alternatives.
“The focus on underground mining and backfill has the potential to significantly reduce the project’s surface footprint while maintaining development optionality,” CEO Jacob Deysel says.
“The revised underground approach provides a strong basis to develop a practical, ESG-aligned concept suitable for advancement through the study phases,” DRA Executive Vice President Darren Naylor adds.
Critica is a clay-hosted rare earths resource (REE) and magnet-REE inventory exploration company with assets predominantly in Western Australia and Tasmania.
