Santa Anna acquisition to Power up after drilling

Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) has received results confirming ‘strong niobium and rare earth mineralisation’ from its maiden drilling program at the Santa Anna Project in Brazil.

In April 2025, the company signed a binding letter of intent for an exclusive option to acquire the Santa Anna Project. The acquisition, if completed, will enhance the project’s position as a South American-focused clean energy metals explorer and developer.

The program, comprising 29 holes for 2,272m of drilling, is a key part of its due diligence in respect of its exclusive option to acquire Santa Anna.

Drilling aimed to confirm and extend the previous significant mineralised sections, test new sections of the system, and progress work on an exploration target and resource estimate for the project.

Some of the results from drillhole MN-RC-028 include 87m @ 2,124 parts per million (ppm) niobium pentoxide from 24m, including 1m @ 5,745ppm niobium pentoxide from 107m and 3m @ 10,117ppm niobium pentoxide from 24m.

Managing Director Mena Habib says the company has intersected the targeted niobium and rare earth mineralisation at depth well below previous drilling – as well as in shallower weathered zone – and with strong grades.

“These intercepts support our initial exploration model, and open up the project’s depth potential,” Habib says.

“With a footprint over the entire Santa Anna Alkaline Complex, and much of this remaining untested, we are excited about what we might find here.”

The Santa Anna Project is a niobium carbonatite hosted asset, which is also prospective for rare earths, gallium, and phosphate.

Power Minerals is a mineral explorer and developer focused on lithium resources in Argentina and niobium and other critical minerals in Brazil.
