SAGA Metals (TSX-V:SAGA) has completed a maiden resource estimate (MRE) diamond drilling program at the Trapper Zone within the Radar Project in Canada.
Completion of the program marks a milestone for the company as it is the largest drill campaign in SAGA’s history, with more than 22,000m drilled in eight months. All drill holes completed intersected oxide mineralisation.
All assays are expected to be received by 15 September 2026 and are intended to support an uninterrupted hand-off of the validated database, geological model inputs, density data, and QA/QC package to GeoGlobal.
CEO Mike Stier says the team delivered the MRE program on a tight timeline and with a clear purpose: to produce a dataset robust enough to support Trapper Zone’s maiden resource.
“Completing more than 22,000m in eight months, with oxide mineralisation in every hole, is a credit to that execution,” Stier says.
“Importantly, this is not the end of the Radar Project, it is the beginning. Trapper is the first resource window with a 29km2 lopolith that hosts additional untested oxide layers.
“The NI 43-101 resource estimate is the next step in unlocking what we believe is a district-scale critical minerals opportunity.”
Assembling the dataset
Director Michael Garagan says the company has assembled the structural and geological dataset required to model a maiden resource at Trapper.
“Final sampling and shipment of remaining core is underway, with the goal of having a complete assay database by mid-September so the resource work can proceed without delay and the NI 43-101 estimate can be completed on schedule,” Garagan adds.
SAGA has also retained GeoGlobal to complete the independent mineral resource and support the technical report for the Trapper Zone.

The Radar Project comprises 690 mineral claims across nine mineral licences, totalling 24,175 hectares in southeastern Labrador.
