S2 expands Glenlogan’s Legacy

S2 Resources (ASX:S2R) has commenced drilling to test geophysical gold-copper anomalies at Legacy Minerals’ (ASX:LGM) Glenlogan Project in the Lachlan Ford Belt in New South Wales.

The program is expected to take four to six weeks to complete across one 600-800m drillhole, with assays to be returned within a month after.

S2 is targeting the signature of porphyry-style gold-copper mineralisation that was identified in recent surveys at its second drillhole at the project.

Previous drilling observed alteration and anomalism towards the end of the hole, with different elements present including gold, copper, bismuth, arsenic, and tellurium.

The company believes the northeastern edge of the intrusion is consistent with porphyry intrusives and associated epithermal systems seen in the greater area, such as the nearby Spur prospect, which is owned by Waratah Minerals (ASX:WTM).

S2 has the opportunity to earn up to 80% interest in the project from Legacy which is located roughly 50km from the Cadia deposits owned by Newmont (ASX:NEM).

S2 Resources is a mineral explorer, focused on the development of gold and base metals projects in Australia and Europe.
