Rua brings D’Urso on board for Reefton exploration

Rua Gold (TSX-V:RUA) has appointed Emmett D’Urso as Vice President of Exploration as a part of the company’s plans to strengthen its technical capabilities for New Zealand exploration.

D’Urso has accumulated more than 13 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a core focus on uncovering “high-grade, narrow vein, Fosterville-style deposits” in the Victorian Goldfields.

Most recently, he worked at Global Ore Discovery where he played a key role in the planning and budgeting for antimony drill programs in New South Wales.

D’Urso also acted as a senior site official for De Grey Mining – which has since been acquired by Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) – overseeing operations, managing exploration teams, and playing a key role in both greenfields and resource definition campaigns during the Hemi study phase.

CEO Robert Eckford says the company is pleased to welcome D’Urso to the team, assisting COO Simon Henderson as he shifts his focus to ramping up activities at the Glamorgan Project in the remaining quarter of 2025.

“Emmett’s depth of experience working on analogue deposits in the Bendigo-Ballarat region brings valuable insight directly applicable to our projects,” Eckford says.

“His addition strengthens our technical team as we advance our portfolio, particularly in Reefton.

“The ongoing expansion of our technical team with such high-calibre talent highlights both the strength of our projects and our commitment to unlocking their full potential.”

Rua Gold is a gold explorer focused on uncovering discoveries in New Zealand.
