Riedel Resources sees open pit opportunity at Kingman following shallow, ‘high-grade’ gold-silver hits

Riedel Resources (ASX: RIE) has announced further ‘high-grade’ gold and silver mineralisation following four additional RC drill holes at the Tintic Mine area within its Kingman Project in Arizona, United States.

The results include gold grades up to 12.73g/t Au, and confirm that mineralisation at Tintic extends further to the west-southwest.

Significant hits include:

  • Hole 2022-CHL-095: 3m @ 3.44g/t Au and 18g/t Ag from 16.8m, incl.
    • 0.8m @ 12.73g/t Au, 30g/t Ag and 3.5% Pb from 16.8m
  • Hole 2022-CHL-095: 2.3m @ 3.04g/t Au and 47g/t Ag from 24.4m, incl.
    • 0.8m @ 7.04g/t Au, 102g/t Ag and 2.5% Pb from 22.9m
  • Hole 2022-CHL-095A: 3m @ 3.18g/t Au and 68g/t Ag from 20.6m, incl.
    • 1.5m @ 5.80g/t Au and 107g/t Ag from 21.3m

Speaking on the results, Riedel Chairman Michael Bohm said: “We are excited about these first assay results which again extend the highly mineralised Tintic zone.

Our geological team requested additional drilling to test if the mineralisation extended further rather than pinching out. This proved to be an excellent call by our team, with the results backing that up.

We are excited about these first assay results which again extend the highly mineralised Tintic zone”

These high-grade results start at some 16m down-hole – so only about 12m below surface – and open up the Tintic area potentially to the west and south-west.

We have successfully completed three drill programs at our Kingman Project in the past 12 months and we consistently intersect shallow and high-grade gold and silver mineralisation at Tintic.

There are assay results for 33 more holes pending that we anticipate receiving next month.”

The company notes that the shallow depth of the intersected mineralisation highlights the future potential for open-pit mining methods at Tintic.

In addition, samples from the recently completed drill holes have been logged and sent for ‘rush’ assaying.

The Kingman Project is located approximately 90 minutes drive from downtown Las Vegas in northwest Arizona, and has been mined for high-grade gold and silver since the late 1880’s.

Riedel is in the process of acquiring up to an 80% interest in the project via its December 2020 agreement with Flagstaff Minerals Limited and Flagstaff Minerals (USA) Inc.

With the recent RC drilling campaign now complete, the company has announced that it is awaiting assays for the remaining 33 holes that are on track for receipt by June 2022.
