Regener8 Resources brings life back to historic district with completion of drilling at Kookynie

Regener8 Resources (ASX:R8R) has completed a phase one reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the historic ‘high-grade’ Niagara West area of its Kookynie Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company notes drilling began in late April 2023 following the completion of a site reconnaissance visit, as well as the return of auger drilling results and new target generation with CSA Global, as announced by the company in April 2023.

Drilling was conducted to investigate a new priority exploration target over 800m at Green Bullet and was completed ahead of schedule.

Regener8 Resources has now moved to assaying samples gathered, and analysis and interpretation of results, which is expected to progress over the next 4-8 weeks.

The company says the latest drilling comprised 33 drillholes, which were completed across both the Green Bullet and May-White Cross prospects, and was expanded to include an additional hole at the Green Bullet area as pre-program structural mapping identified additional outcropping quartz veins and historical workings.

Regener8 reports geology intersected consists primarily of mafic rock and variably deformed granite, as well as thin zones of highly silicified alteration. However, while the target zones are reported to have been largely quartz veins, geological logging was unable to determine the significance of these.

Speaking on the completion of drilling, Regener8 Resources Managing Director Stephen Foley says: “Completion of the drilling safely and ahead of schedule is a great outcome for Regener8’s maiden program at Niagara West.

We’re encouraged by what we observed and are looking forward to receiving the assay results as soon as possible”

Regener8 Resources is an ASX-listed company focused on exploring and investigating the underexplored tenements located within the heart of the Kookynie district of Western Australia. The company’s Kookynie project is situated about 150km north of the township of Kalgoorlie and 55km south of Leonora.

This historically productive region has produced over 500,000oz of minerals and has seen a revival of activity in recent years, with encouraging resource growth and exploration results by neighbours such as Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD), Iris Metals (ASX:IR1), Carnavale Resources (ASX:CAV), and Metallicity (ASX:MCT).
