Regener8 Resources (ASX:R8R) reports recent grab sampling at its Srebrenica North Project in Bosnia‑Herzegovina has returned up to 147 grams per tonne silver (Ag), 11.2% zinc (Zn) plus lead (Pb), and 0.7% antimony (Sb).
The company acquired the 80km2 project in March, covering the Vagan and Dolovi exploration licences within the Tethyan Metallogenic Belt. The project sits between Mineco’s operating Sase and Veliki Majdan lead‑silver‑zinc mines.
Historical data review has identified potential at the Gradina prospect on the Vagan tenement, where seven Roman and medieval mining tunnels were opened along an ore vein.
Yugoslav Geology Survey re‑opened one tunnel in 1965, mapping and sampling up to 92g/t Ag, 10.5% Zn plus Pb, and 0.1% Sb.
Recent field visits and grab sampling near old workings at Gradina have confirmed hydrothermal vein‑type sulphide mineralisation, analogous to the nearby operating Sase mine.
Managing Director Stephen Foley says the review has identified priority areas for further investigation.
“Medieval workings at Gradina, high-grade silver-lead-zinc-antimony from both historical and recent surface samples, with coincident airborne magnetic anomalies warrant systematic follow-up,” Foley says.
The company has identified six copper prospects across Vagan based on historical stream sediment sampling, including the Polom prospect with up to 1,000 parts per million copper (Cu) and the Bandera prospect with up to 130ppm Cu.
A 1977 airborne magnetic survey identified two positive anomalies correlating with mapped hydrothermal alteration and mineralised structures.
The company plans geological mapping, surface sampling, and geophysical data collection subject to weather and access.
Regener8 Resources is an Australian explorer advancing a portfolio of gold and base metal projects, including the Kookynie Gold Project and East Ponton Project in Western Australia, alongside its flagship Srebrenica North asset in Bosnia‑Herzegovina.
