RareX (ASX:REE) has appointed Glen Edwards as the General Manager for business development, effective immediately.
In his role with RareX, Edwards will assist the company in its East African business development activities, playing a key role in advancing its broader growth portfolio.
Key roles will include supporting business development initiatives, contributing to the exploration and assessment of Khaleesi and other exploration assets, and assisting strategic oversight as Cummins Range progresses through metallurgical optimisation and development planning.
Edwards has over 35 years of experience as an economic geologist, working across exploration, project generation, discovery, resource development and corporate growth phases.

Throughout his career, he has focused on working in Africa and East Africa, most recently serving Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU) as the General Manager of exploration. At Perseus, Edwards was responsible for overseeing exploration strategy and growth initiatives for the African portfolio.
Edwards has a Bachelor of Science in geology and chemistry from the University of Natal, as well as a postgraduate degree from the University of Cape Town in geochemistry.
He is a member of the Australian Institute of Geologists and the Society of Economic Geologists.
Managing Director James Durrant says Edwards joining the company strengthens the company’s capabilities at a “pivotal point” of evolution.
“His depth of experience in Africa, and particularly East Africa, combined with his background in discovery, development, and business growth, makes him especially well suited to support RareX’s near-term and long-term strategic objectives,” Durrant says.
