Rapid Critical Metals (ASX:RCM) has begun a drilling program at the Webbs Silver Project in New South Wales, as part of the company’s strategy to deliver resource growth and discovery potential.
The 2,000m diamond drill program is designed to upgrade and expand the existing silver inventory. Webbs hosts a combined resource with the Conrads Project of 34.9 million ounces of silver-equivalent.
Rapid Critical, which has a market capitalisation of $20.44 million, says drilling will also improve geological confidence in the current resource categories, test highly prospective southern extensions, and investigate a potential parallel lode to the west.
Managing Director Byron Miles says starting drilling is an “important” milestone as the company moves to unlock Webbs’ full potential.
“Our dual focus is on upgrading and expanding the existing resource while also testing new discovery opportunities within this highly prospective silver corridor,” Miles says.
The Webbs Project contains a resource of 2.2 million tonnes @ 205 grams per tonne silver-equivalent for 14.2 million ounces. The project is along strike and down plunge with recent microgravity and light detection and ranging surveys uncovered potential blind parallel lodes and untested extensions north and south.
Rapid Critical Metals is a mineral explorer focused on silver and critical mineral projects in tier one jurisdictions, including Webbs and Conrads in New South Wales, and the Prophet River Project in Canada.
