Rapid Critical Metals (ASX:RCM) has been granted approval for drilling at the Webbs Silver Project in northern New South Wales.
Drilling will begin as soon as the first drill rig arrives on site, with the approval covering an initial reverse circulation campaign to test for extensions to the recent discovery of a new western parallel lode on the southern corner of the deposit.
The campaign will also test the southern extension of the Webbs ore zone.
The first drill rig is scheduled to arrive on site next week, with a second to be mobilised after additional approvals for drilling are received.
Rapid Critical Metals intends to combine resource extension drilling along the southern margin of the known ore zone, while exploration drilling targets the southern continuation of Webbs and the parallel lode.
The aim of this campaign is to expand the current resource, search for further parallel lodes, and for exploration drilling.
Managing Director Byron Miles says this approval will allow Rapid Critical Metals to begin what the company believes to be a “highly impactful drilling campaign at Webbs”.
“The discovery of a new parallel lode has opened up a compelling new growth opportunity for the project,” Miles says.
“This program is specifically designed to test that upside while also extending the existing resource.
“With the first rig mobilising next week and a second rig to follow, we are entering an exciting phase for the company and look forward to delivering strong results as we work to unlock the broader potential of the Webbs system.”
