Ramelius latest miner to reshuffle board

Ramelius Resources (ASX:RMS) is the latest mining company to reshuffle its board.

The $2.43 billion market capitalisation company has appointed Tim Hewitt as COO, effective mid-February 2025, after Duncan Coutts decided to step down from the role. Hewitt is a mining engineer with more than 30 years of industry experience including at gold giants St Barbara, Newmont, and most recently Gold Fields.

Ramelius has also expanded its executive team from four to six with the addition of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) and an Executive General Manager – Human Resources (EGM – HR).

Alan Thom has been promoted to CDO effect from 4 December, after serving as GM – Business Development for almost three years. Thom is a mining engineer with 25-plus years of experience as a director, senior executive, manager and engineer on resource projects from geological concept through feasibility, to development, and operations.

Kim Boekeman has been appointed to the EGM – HR role, starting on 17 February 2025. Boekeman has worked in HR with over 20 years of experience, across various industries and countries including the UK, US, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Finally, Peter Ganza has been appointed as GM – Projects, primarily focusing on the Rebecca-Roe Project and the potential Mt Magnet Eridanus Cutback / Mill Expansion. Ganza will continue to fill the role of acting COO until late February to ensure continuous oversight of operations is maintained in the near-term.

The company’s share price was today trading 5.687% higher to $2.23 as of 11am AEST on the back of the changes.
