Ragusa Minerals (ASX:RAS) has received outstanding laboratory assay results from drilling at its Burracoppin Project in Western Australia, discovering a ‘high-grade’ halloysite and ‘strongly’ elevated rare earth element (REE) content across the drilled area.
The company reports that these final assay results display the Burracoppin project to be ‘significantly’ enriched in bright white kaolinite, ‘high-grade’ halloysite, and REE’s, all within a near-surface formation. Ragusa states these discoveries make it a true multi-commodity project.
Key drill results include hole RBC 038 with 10m @ 15% halloysite from 5m; RBC 045 with 9m @ 11% halloysite from 9m; and RBC 047 with 15m @ 13% halloysite from 7m, including 6m @ 16% and 3m @ 20%.

The company’s next steps for the project will be to interpret the data in its entirety ahead of resource estimation and production of a JORC 2012 resource over the project area.
Additionally, a preliminary test work is planned on a sub-set of composite samples with elevated REE content to test for methods of extraction and possible recoveries.

Ragusa’s Burracoppin project consists of 68 blocks and is located about 300km east of Perth in Western Australia. The project is prospective for halloysite and kaolinite.
