Rackla ramps up tungsten exploration at Lentung

Rackla Metals (TSX-V:RAK) has provided an update on its 2026 exploration program at the fully permitted Lentung Tungsten Project in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

The company says it has made significant progress despite heavy snow in 2026, mobilising and advancing the program, with a number of key activities underway and scheduled.

Rackla has targeted the completion of its 49-person exploration camp by 11 July 2026, with a 4,000m diamond drilling program and a 6,000m reverse circulation program commencing mid-July.

The company has commenced its engineering and archaeological studies for the project and proposed access road, re-establishment and brushing of historic trail networks on the property, recovery and cataloguing of historic drill core, engagement with local communities, and engagement with SKS Environmental to review historic data and restart baseline studies.

The Lentung project is located in the Tombstone Tungsten Belt in the Northwest Territories and has had significant historic exploration work completed in the 1970s and 1980s.

CEO Simon Ridgway says that the company is pleased with the progress at Lentung to date.

This will be an exciting drill season aimed at confirming the shallow tungsten intercepts discovered by Union Carbide’s extensive and detailed work program,” Ridgway says.

“In the area we have renamed the Central Zone, Union Carbide intersected multiple zones with greater than 10m intercepts grading greater than 1% tungsten trioxide.

“These zones form the dip slope of the hillside and occur over a strike length of approximately 1.5km, an ideal configuration for open pit mining with a minimal strip ratio, should a resource be identified.”

Rackla Metals is a mineral exploration company focused on gold and critical minerals projects in northern Canada.
