Questcorp Mining (CSE:QQQ) has been granted a permit to commence induced polarisation (IP) surveys at the North Island Copper Project on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
This permit falls under the British Columbia Mines Act, offering the company the opportunity to conduct between 10km to 15km line of IP surveying.
Questcorp intends to follow up on chargeable anomalies found at the Marisa Zone via surface sampling and a preliminary IP survey spanning a 12.3km line in the 1990s.
This anomaly initiated a five hole diamond drilling program, with two holes returning intervals returning 0.078% copper over 56.39m and 0.041% copper over 70.71m.
CEO Saf Dhillon says the company is prospective of nearby exploration potential following Northisle Copper and Gold’s (TSX-V:NCX) “excellent” results 15km to the west, exploring in the same belt of rocks as the historically producing Island Copper Mine.
“The Marisa Zone displays a strong historic IP signature and anomaly carrying encouraging copper numbers from very limited drilling, begging for a second pass with modern geophysical equipment and processing,” Dhillon says.
Questcorp Mining is a mineral explorer focused on acquiring projects in North America to locate and develop precious and base metals.
