QEM: Celebrating 40 years of Australia’s pioneering role in vanadium batteries

QEM (ASX:QEM) Managing Director Gavin Loyden speaks to Shae Russell about the 40th anniversary of vanadium flow batteries, and the burgeoning vanadium sector in Australia.

Maria Skyllas-Kazacos is a Professor in the School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering and is lauded for her pioneering work of the vanadium battery, which she created at the University of New South Wales in the 1980s.

Loyden explains to Mining.com.au of the importance of vanadium in the Australian economy and of the Julia Creek Vanadium and Energy Project in Queensland.
