Q2 Metals (TSX-V:QTWO) has appointed Keith Phillips, previous CEO of Piedmont Lithium, to the company’s board of directors.
Phillips served as Piedmont’s CEO from its inception in 2017 to the recent merger with Sayona Mining, as previously reported. Sayona Mining has since rebranded to Elevra Lithium (ASX:ELV).

Under his leadership, Piedmont achieved a market capitalisation of more than C$1 billion ($1.09 billion), growing from an early stage exploration project in North Carolina to a global lithium producer with assets in Canada, Ghana, and the US.
CEO Alicia Milne says with Phillips extensive experience in the lithium industry, as well as investment banking, he will strengthen the board and align with the company’s strategic goals as it works towards publishing an inferred mineral resource on Cisco in Q1 2026.
Phillips adds that the Cisco Lithium Project stands out on the global stage for its scale, grade, and location.
“Having assessed lithium assets across all major producing regions, I can confidently say Cisco ranks among the most promising undeveloped hard-rock lithium projects worldwide,” he says.
Q2 Metals is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on lithium within the greater Nemaska traditional territory of the Eeyou Istchee, James Bay region of Québec, Canada.
