Pursuit Minerals Rio Grande Sur Lithium Project in Argentina

Pursuit reports ‘exceptional’ drilling progress at Mito

Pursuit Minerals (ASX:PUR) has completed its first packer test at DDH-3 within the Mito tenement at its Rio Grande Sur Lithium Project in Argentina, recovering brine samples from the targeted aquifer for lithium assay.

Initial drilling observations and packer testing align with the company’s geological and geophysical interpretation of the Mito conductive system.

Field measurements from the first packer interval recorded a specific gravity of 1.220g/cm³, conductivity of 201 mS, and a neutral pH at 11°C. Laboratory lithium assays remain pending.

“The successful recovery of highly saline formation brine and geological observations to date provide compelling early validation of our exploration model,” Managing Director Aaron Revelle says.

“The results are increasing our confidence that the basin-scale conductive system identified through our advanced CSAMT reprocessing represents a significant hydrogeological feature with the potential to host lithium-bearing brines.”

The first packer test was completed between approximately 156.2m and 180.0m, with four representative brine samples and porosity samples collected for laboratory analysis.

Geological logging confirms the presence of the anticipated sedimentary sequence interpreted from advanced CSAMT reprocessing. The lithological sequence intersected corresponds closely with the company’s pre-drill interpretation.

This conductive system displays continuity across multiple CSAMT survey lines and is interpreted to represent a coherent basin-scale feature rather than an isolated anomaly.

DDH-3 continues toward its planned target depth of 700m, with additional packer tests scheduled throughout the hole. Representative brine samples from each interval will be submitted for laboratory analysis.

Pursuit Minerals is a lithium explorer advancing the Rio Grande Sur project in Argentina, which hosts a JORC mineral resource of 1.264 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent.
