Pure Resources (ASX:PR1) is beginning several exploration programs across 5 of its lithium projects in Canada, Finland, and Sweden this month.
In Finland, the company reports Finnish geological consultancy firm Geopool will begin exploration around 8 August 2023 on the Kast and Kova prospecting reservations. Geopool will be conducted mapping and sampling of pegmatites and pegmatite clusters that have already been uncovered.
Both reservations are ‘poorly’ explored, according to Pure, and cover an area of 683km-square. Kast and Kova are considered ‘highly prospective’ for lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite deposits.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, Pure’s in-country geological consultants will begin analyses of satellite imagery to uncover additional lithium-bearing pegmatite targets in the Bergby and Järkvissle areas.
Pure says identified outcropping pegmatites will be sampled as part of the extensive fieldwork program anticipated to begin on 25 August 2023.
The Bergby Project covers an area of about 174km-square and is situated near the Gulf of Bothnia in central Sweden, a known hard rock lithium district. Meanwhile, the Järkvissle claims cover 78km-square and are situated 65km northwest of the Swedish East Coast town of Sundsvall.
In Canada, Pure is restarting a mapping and sampling program at its La Forge Lithium Project following the recent wildfires that affected large parts of northern Quebec.
Now that fire-related restrictions have been lifted, the company has confirmed fieldwork programs will begin on 20 August 2023.
Further, the company notes it is assessing options for future work at its Yandal Project in Australia. Pure is considering drilling to a greater depth to test for an underlying source for the near-surface anomalism detected in its recent 18-hole reverse circulation (RC) drill program.
Pure Resources is a battery mineral-focused exploration company that holds a portfolio of assets prospective for nickel and copper. As of 30 June 2023, the company had $2.541 million cash at hand, according to its latest quarterly report published on 27 July 2023.
