Providence Gold Mines (TSX-V:PHD) reports gold assays up to 8.9 grams per tonne from its second stockpile trenching program at the Tarantula mine.
The company completed phase two continuous trenching at its La Dama De Oro gold property, located 40 minutes from Victorville, California, US.
The sampling program was overseen by Mark Payne, PGeo No. 7067, with samples delivered to American Assay Labs in Sparks, Nevada, using conventional 30g gold silver fire assay.
“The historical La Dama De Oro, California mine continues to develop as an exciting active gold story with numerous exploration targets,” CEO Ronald Coombes says.
Providence previously reported a new gold vein discovery that returned 8g/t gold over 0.45m true width from channel sampling completed in July.
The discovery sits at the westernmost face of the Mojave Girl vein, where significant sericitic alteration extends approximately 90m westward.
“Other similar intense barren sericitic alteration blooms have been found to be reliable surface expressions overlying high-grade gold-quartz to depth in other similar orogenic style vein systems,” Payne notes.
Providence holds a fully permitted 1,000‑tonne bulk sample at the property. The company is negotiating with a local mill owner‑operator to process the material.
Providence Gold Mines is a Canadian exploration company focused on advancing its fully permitted, past‑producing La Dama De Oro gold‑silver project in California’s Silver Mountain Mining District, within the Eastern California Shear Zone.
