Provenance Gold (CSE:PAU) Chief Executive Rob Clark says the company is increasing its confidence that it is beginning to define the size and scale of the Eldorado West Project in Eastern Oregon.
“With our fully funded 2026 core drilling campaign set to commence shortly, we are excited to continue advancing the project while further unlocking its potential,” Clark says.
The upcoming drill program beginning later this month will be carried out by Titan Drilling. In addition to the planned drilling, several prospective targets across the northern portion of the project, including the Herman and Tyee areas, remain untested and represent opportunities for further exploration.
This news comes after the company received the final three diamond drill hole assay results from a 2025 core drilling program.
Some of the results include hole EC-09 with 116.74m @ 1.82 grams per tonne gold (Au), including 14.78m @ 2.14g/t Au and 25.60m @ 4.70g/t Au, including 12.34m @ 8.31g/t Au; and hole EC-08 with 38.86m @ 0.46g/t Au.
The main zone, where hole EC-09 was drilled, is flanked by additional modest grade intervals assaying 3.35m @ 0.32g/t Au and 19.66m @ 0.32g/t Au. Provenance Gold says this suggests that multiple mineralised zones exist in parallel.
Clark says the 2025 drilling program highlights predominantly shallow gold mineralisation and shows continuity of the mineralised system.
“In addition to high-grade intercepts, this program returned broad mineralisation over long intervals, suggesting that the overall footprint of the mineralised target zone could be much larger,” the CEO says.
“The core holes have been particularly informative and valuable. Hole EC-07 was drilled to test an area east of the previous exploration extent and well south of the Herman area.
“Hole EC-08 tested an area not drilled historically and uncovered significant intervals of gold mineralisation which may expand the system much further south of the Tyee area. Hole EC-09 was important in terms of increasing our understanding of the continuity in the Herman area and delivered another very strong drill hole, with mineralisation persisting beyond the main interval suggesting vertical continuity.”
Further, Provenance Gold has also completed targeted eagle and raptor nest surveys, followed by greater sage-grouse lek surveys. With these environmental studies complete and approved, the company has gained greater operational flexibility to conduct drilling activities.
Eldorado West hosts a large diorite intrusion-related gold system, with pervasive mineralisation localised within and around diorite contacts and fault-related fracture zones.
The Eldorado West Project is part of the broader Eldorado Project which covers 7,915 acres located 60km northwest of Vale in Malheur County, Oregon.
Provenance Gold is a precious metals explorer actively advancing its flagship Eldorado Project through systematic drilling, geological modelling, and expansion of its mineralised zones.
