Provenance Gold adds Mackenzie Watson to advisory board

Provenance Gold (CSE:PAU) has appointed Mackenzie Watson as senior exploration advisor, as part of the company’s advisory board. 

Watson has more than 50 years of experience in Canadian exploration, mining, and development, and has been involved in the discovery of several mineral deposits in Canada. 

Provenance Gold says Watson is a Canadian Mining Hall of Fame Inductee and two-time co-recipinet of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Bill Dennis Award. Watson received the Bill Dennis Award for a Canadian discovery or prospecting success, alongside his contributions to the mineral discoveries in the Ring of Fire area of Northern Ontario, Canada. 

Mining.com.au was an official media partner at PDAC 2025.

Watson is the first person to have received the Bill Dennis Award twice for discoveries in 1991 and in 2009. 

Provenance Gold CEO Rauno Perttu says Mackenzie’s foresight into fast-tracking exploration and development is a great asset at this juncture for the Eldorado Project. 

“We look forward to utilising his experience and knowledge to help expedite our exploration efforts,” Perttu says. 

Further, the company has also been granted 500,000 stock options to certain advisors and consultants of Provenance. The options have an exercise price of $0.20 per share and a 36-month term from the date of the grant.

Provenance Gold is a precious metals explorer focused on gold and silver mineralisation within North America The company also holds interests in Nevada and eastern Oregon, US.
