Provenance Gold (CSE:PAU) has submitted an exploration plan of operations for the Eldorado West Gold Project in eastern Oregon, to the Bureau of Land Management.
The exploration plan is designed to support an expanded drill program, as well as a more systematic evaluation of the mineralised footprint at the project.
Provenance says this includes expanded infill drilling to further define the current mineralised footprint and allow for expansion of the known mineralisation through extensive step-outs.
CEO Rob Clark says this marks another “important step” forward for the company as it executes key initiatives to systematically de-risk and advance Eldorado West.
This news comes after Provenance unveiled Eldorado West’s development potential, following receiving a diamond drill result which expands mineralisation to the southwest.
As previously reported, hole EC-06 returned 139.14m @ 1.10 grams per tonne gold, including 24.90m @ 2.68g/t gold and 10.03m @ 1.99g/t gold, with mineralisation hosted in altered and brecciated diorite and metasediments.
At the time, the company was continuing metallurgical testing and awaited soil sampling assay results.
More about Eldorado West
The Eldorado West Project, covering 2,048 acres, hosts a large diorite intrusion-related gold system, with pervasive mineralisation localised within and around diorite contacts and fault-related fracture zones.
Historical mining, drilling, gold in-soil anomalies, and geophysical modelling suggest mineralised structures extend across the majority of the property, well beyond the currently confirmed system.
Eldorado West is part of the broader Eldorado Project which is a district-scale land position totalling 32.03km2, located 60km northwest of Vale in Malheur County, Oregon.
Provenance Gold is a mineral explorer focused on discovering the next major gold system in eastern Oregon.
