Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI) is completing an extensive drilling program focused on growing and upgrading the Bankan Project’s current mineral resource to support a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).
The $575.97 million market capitalisation company is focused on drilling programs regionally within the Bankan permits, with the aim of discovering new deposits as well as maintaining a healthy pipeline of exploration targets.
At the 800W target, resource definition drilling has been completed, which resulted in the target’s mineralised zone extending along strike — returning 5m @ 7.98 grams per tonne gold, including 2m @ 18.73g/t gold.
Managing Director Andrew Pardey says the drilling results confirm potential for a satellite deposit in the NEB area that can add ounces and provide mine planning flexibility with future upside potential.
“We are now completing resource modelling for 800W and a maiden mineral resource estimate is planned for early 2025,” Pardey says.
“Maiden MREs are also planned for the Fouwagbe and Sounsoun targets at Argo in early 2025, following the additional resource definition drilling which is currently underway. Earlier stage regional exploration is continuing at Argo and Bokoro South.”
The company adds earlier stage regional exploration programs will continue at Argo and the southern part of the Bokoro permit to further develop the pipeline of targets moving through exploration phases.
A Prefeasibility Study for the Bankan Project was recently completed which outlined a 269,000 ounces per annum operation over 12 years, with a maiden ore reserve of 3.05 million ounces.
The Bankan Project is a potential tier one gold mine located in northeast Guinea, West Africa.
