Predictive Discovery intersects 44m @ 8g/t Gold at Bankan

Africa-focused miner Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI) has reported high-grade gold intersections from four diamond drilling holes at its Bankan Gold Project in Guinea.

Drilling at  NE Bankan intersected broad zones of gold at depth. Highlights include:

  • BNEDD0085: 44m @ 8.0g/t Au from 265m, including:
    • 17m @ 18.1g/t Au from 273m
  • BNEDD0086: 12.3m @ 6.7g/t Au from 338m, including:
    • 3.9m @ 14.4g/t Au from 340m

The deposit has been extended over 400m downdip from surface at section 1175020N, with potential for further extensions to the west at depth.

Shallow diamond drilling at Bankan Creek has also intersected high-grade gold mineralisation, supporting the continuity of the mineralised zones. Key results include:

  • BCKDD0008: 15m @ 4.0g/t Au from 48m, including:
    • 3m @ 12.5g/t Au from 56m
  • BCKDD0016: 12m @ 5.0g/t Au from 30m, including:
    • 2m @ 24.1g/t Au from 37m

These results reinforce earlier intercepts, with PDI indicating that Bankan Creek will “contribute significantly” to the planned maiden resource estimate.

Next steps

Diamond drilling at NE Bankan is now complete, with assays pending for four holes.

Diamond Drilling continues at Bankan Creek, with a single multipurpose RC-DD drill rig operating adjacent to confirmed gold deposits, while testing new targets identified from auger drilling.

These outstanding new results are further confirmation of the continuity and grade of the NE Bankan and Bankan Creek gold deposits”

Management comments

Predictive Discovery Managing Director Paul Roberts said: “These outstanding new results are further confirmation of the continuity and grade of the NE Bankan and Bankan Creek gold deposits. The intersection of 44m at 8.0g/t Au from around 240m vertical depth is an absolute standout, better than any intercept we have obtained so far in the deposit. Following these high impact holes, we have four more deep DD holes yet to report at NE Bankan. Deep drilling results on adjacent sections are also delivering very good widths and grades between 200m and 300m vertical depth.

Infill diamond drilling is ongoing at Bankan Creek, with the last holes planned for completion mid- July. Following receipt and interpretation of the last results, the Company will move onto the Maiden Resource estimation, in keeping with our September Quarter timetable.”
