Power Minerals pegmatites Lĺtio Project

Power Minerals hunting pegmatites trends at Lĺtio Project

Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) is undertaking a light detection and ranging (LiDAR) survey at the Lĺtio Niobium Project in Brazil, expecting to undercover pegmatite trends.

The LiDAR survey, which will be an airborne survey covering 1,600 hectares, aims to provide expedited new, priority exploration targets at Lĺtio.

Power Minerals, which has a market capitalisation of $9.57 million, is expecting the survey to provide a detailed 3D topography image of the terrain, including any existing artisanal workings, which further aid in mapping the pegmatite trends.

Managing Director Mena Habib says the survey represents the next stage of the company’s systematic exploration at Lĺtio.

“It provides an excellent, cost effective method to help identify and define exploration targets within the project area,” Habib says.

“The data generated by the survey is expected to identify pegmatite trends within the project area and allow for detailed mapping of the survey area.

“This work forms part of our expedited exploration plans at the Lĺtio Project, which are designed to deliver targets for a first phase of drilling.”

In conjunction with ongoing sampling, Power Minerals intends to use the results from the survey to define and prioritise targets.

Once completed, the company plans to use the imagery and topography model generated by the LiDAR survey to assist in defining location for potential bulk sampling and a first-phase drilling program.

The survey is expected to be completed this quarter and results will be released once made available.

The Lĺtio Project comprises three permits and is considered “highly prospective” for niobium, rare earths, and lithium.
