Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) has appointed New York-based executive Israel Benchemhoun as a non-executive director as it continues advancing its Mondo do Ferro Rare Earths Project in Brazil, as well as other South American endeavours.
Benchemhoun’s appointment is in line with the company’s strategy to strengthen engagement with US investors, broaden its international shareholder base, and assess potential for a future Nasdaq listing.
The appointment comes as Power Minerals advances its flagship Morro do Ferro Project, where a maiden drill program is underway.
Chairman Stephen Ross says Benchemhoun joins at a strategically important phase for the company.
“[Benchemhoun’s] appointment strengthens our international presence and capability, deepens our access to US capital markets, and aligns directly with our ambition to position Power as a leading participant in the global critical minerals supply chain,” Ross says.
The company’s board believes that Benchemhoun’s strategic, operational, and capital markets experience will be a valuable addition as Power Minerals executes its next phase of growth.
Power Minerals is a resource company focused on exploring and developing critical minerals necessary for the global energy transition.
