Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN) has received further assay results from the winter 2026 drilling program at the Lion Zone deposit in Canada, which CEO Terry Lynch says builds towards what is believed to be a “very positive” mineral resource estimate (MRE).
The drilling program is continuing to define the Lion Zone in preparation for the MRE scheduled in Q3 2026. The program also supports the modelled interpretation of the Lion Zone based on earlier wider spaced drilling and includes hole PML-26-094.
Hole PML-26-094 intersected the interpreted core of the Lion Zone and adds further support to wide intersections of copper near surface with 17.45m @ 9.47% copper-equivalent, including 6.30m @ 17.91% copper-equivalent.
Meanwhile, hole PML-26-101 tested the zone 100m east of hole PML-26-094 at a slightly deeper vertical depth and contained high-grade copper-equivalent over a very wide intersection. The results include 39m @ 5.66% copper-equivalent, including 9.20m @ 15.18% copper-equivalent.
A further 100m west, hole PML-26-104 tested the western edge of the Lion Zone and intersected 7.40m @ 1.07% copper-equivalent.
Lynch says the heart of the Lion Zone continues to deliver “impressive” results.
“Both of these holes would have broken into our top six holes at the Lion Zone,” the CEO says.
The Lion Zone is located within the wider Nisk Project, which is a nickel-copper sulphide deposit with mineralisation for multiple battery metals. The project is located in Québec, Canada and covers 4,589.11 hectares.
