PolarX reports more ‘hyper grade’ copper at Caribou Dome

PolarX (ASX:PXX) has reported final assays from its 2025 drilling program at the Caribou Dome Copper Project in Alaska, US.

The latest results from the campaign include 3.0m @ 11.23% copper and 12.63 grams per tonne silver from 65.3m, with the company completing all assays from nine holes totalling 2,133m drilled during 2025.

Of the nine holes, drilling intersected ‘extremely high-grade’ copper mineralisation in eight holes, extending known mineralisation at depth and improving structural and geological understanding of the deposit.

Managing Director Jason Berton says the final assay interval from hole CD25-008 completes all assays for the 2025 drill season.

Mineralisation is present as chalcopyrite within semi-massive to massive sulphide horizons interbedded with shale units like the other hyper-grade assays previously reported for Caribou Dome, Managing Director Jason Berton adds.

Other results from the 2025 program include CD25-001 with 4.3m @ 3.79% copper and 4.96g/t silver from 121.2m, and CD25-005 returning 18m @ 2.84% copper and 3.65g/t silver from 99.4m, including 8.5m @ 5.98% copper and 5.19g/t silver from 99.4m.

PolarX also intersected 1.1m @ 13.23% copper and 14.91g/t silver from 103.2m in the same hole, while CD25-009 delivered 5.3m @ 6.12% copper and 9.75g/t silver from 239.9m, including 2.5m @ 10.82% copper and 17.68g/t silver from 239.9m.

The mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike, with both targets to be followed up on in the current drill program.

The company has commenced a 10,000m diamond drilling program at Caribou Dome, entirely funded through the Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) joint venture.

Several anomalous induced polarisation targets will be drill-tested, along with resource down-dip and strike length extension targets.

Northern Star earned a 15% interest in the Alaska Range Project after contributing US$11 million (US$15.57 million) — US$5 million in 2025 and a US$6 million in April 2026 — increasing its interest to 30%.

The Alaska Range Project contains a combined resource of 11.2 million tonnes across the Caribou Dome and Zackly deposits.
