Pioneer Lithium (ASX:PLN) is planning to initiate a ‘comprehensive’ fieldwork campaign during the summer of 2024 at its LaGrande Lithium Project in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada.
This news comes after the $12.16 million market capitalisation company completed a prospecting and scouting campaign at the project.
Pioneer says the information gathered from the prospecting and scouting will be applied to inform the design and implementation of these planned future activities.
Through the prospecting and scouting campaign, Pioneer uncovered 9 pegmatite outcrops at the LaGrande East and West claims.
Pioneer Lithium Managing Director Clinton Booth says: “Fieldwork at this time of year is typically significantly hampered by weather and, with snow falling, conditions on the ground were difficult.
The team from Pioneer Lithium and IOS applied a flexible approach to prospecting and scouting activities, and this has allowed us to complete the campaign effectively and obtain valuable information to inform our next fieldwork campaign.”

The campaign took 3 days to complete and was designed to acquire preliminary first-hand site-specific geological and infrastructure information.
Pioneer Lithium is an ASX-listed battery metals-focused explorer with assets in the heart of Canada’s booming lithium regions.
As of 30 September 2023, the company had $4.37 million cash at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
