Pioneer Minerals (ASX:PMM) has returned up to 4,257 parts per million (PPM) triuranium octoxide at the Skull Creek Uranium Project in Colorado, US, from a phase two soil geochemistry program.
The Countryline prospect within the Western Block returned up to 4,257ppm triuranium octoxide, with additional ‘high-grade’ results including 1,462ppm triuranium octoxide, 462ppm triuranium octoxide, 392ppm triuranium octoxide, and 289ppm triuranium octoxide.
Pioneer says it has identified drill targets at the Western Block due to the area’s prospectivity of hosting a “significant soil anomalism” extending beyond rock chip locations.
The Eastern Block is also prospective for hosting widespread coherent soil anomalism across the concealed terrain with potential for sandstone-hosted uranium mineralisation.

CEO Michael Beven says the project is strengthened from the return of grades exceeding 4,000ppm and a “strong concealed soil anomalism”.
“The combination of high-grade surface mineralisation and widespread multi-element soil anomalies gives me confidence that we may be vectoring towards a larger concealed uranium system,” Beven says.
“Phase two was specifically designed to test areas of Sego Sandstone concealed beneath shallow cover and determine whether uranium and associated pathfinder elements could be detected beyond areas of outcrop.
“The scale and consistency of the anomalism give me confidence that drilling has the potential to unlock a more substantial sandstone-hosted uranium system at Skull Creek.”
