Pioneer adds critical minerals expert to board

Pioneer Minerals (ASX:PMM) has appointed Ross Forzatti as non-executive director to strengthen its technical and project development capabilities.

Forzatti brings over 24 years of senior technical, operational, and project development experience in the mining and critical minerals sectors in Australia and internationally.

He has held senior roles on rare earth developments, including Arafura’s (ASX:ARU) Nolans Project, Iluka’s (ASX:ILU) Wimmera and Eneabba projects, Lynas’ (ASX:LYC) Mt Weld, as well as projects with Serra Verde and Tronox (NYSE:TROX).

Forzatti replaces Paul Hughes, who steps down as non-executive director effective today, 28 August.

Non-Executive Chairman Agha Shahzad Pervez says Forzatti’s appointment brings ‘highly relevant’ expertise as the company advances its portfolio.

“We are delighted to welcome Ross to the Pioneer board. His extensive critical minerals, metallurgical, and project development experience will significantly strengthen our technical capabilities and support Pioneer’s next phase of growth,” Pervez says.

“On behalf of the board, I would also like to thank Paul Hughes for his valuable contribution to Pioneer and wish him every success for the future.”

Pioneer Minerals is an explorer focused on discovering critical minerals in North America and Namibia, with an emphasis on tungsten, uranium, and lithium.
