Pan Asia Metals (ASX:PAM) hosted its memorandum of understanding (MoU) partner IRPC Public Company, as well as Chinese lepidolite processor and lithium chemical producer Yongxing Special Materials Technology on a site visit to the RK Lithium Project in southern Thailand.
The company has entered into discussions with several strategic partners which have expertise in lithium chemical manufacturing, regarding developing the RK Project.
Pan Asia, which has a market capitalisation of $14.84 million, says successful negotiations could see a three-way agreement form between the potential strategic partner, IRPC, and Pan Asia.
The company is looking to Chinese lepidolite processors as potential strategic and technology partners.

Managing Director Paul Lock says the latest site visit shows the interest the RK Project is generating and the importance of the project’s strategic positioning in Southeast Asia and particularly Thailand.
“IRPC is a leading integrated petroleum and petrochemical company which focuses on the petroleum, petrochemical, and asset management segments in Thailand,” he says.
“Yongxing is one of leading and lowest cost producers of lithium carbonate from lepidolite in China. Pan Asia Metals hosted IRPC and Yongxing on a comprehensive site visit last week, focusing on the RK and BT lithium prospects, and the potential of the newly defined and rapidly advanced KT lithium prospect.”
The field visit, led by chief geologist and technical director David Hobby, focused on inspections including drill core from RK and BT, alongside field work results including pegmatite exposures.
Hobby confirms the central area of the KT prospect contains a pegmatite swarm which is 1.5km long and 500m wide, and also remains open along strike.
Pan Asia adds that individual pegmatite dykes containing abundant lepidolite and muscovite have been interpreted up to 20m wide, with many between 5m and 10m wide.
Pan Asia Metals is a battery materials company focused on its lithium projects in Southeast Asia and South America. The company also has agreements in place with key battery and chemical producers in the Asian region to produce advanced battery chemicals.
