Pan Asia Thai Li project

Pan Asia Metals positive on outlook with Reung Kiet Lithium Project, Thailand

Pan Asia Metals (ASX:PAM) reports that it has received assays following recent drilling activities at its Reung Kiet Lithium Project in southern Thailand.

The results, generated by twelve diamond drilling (DD) drillholes (RKDD058-61 and RKDD062-068), continue to support the geological model of extensive lithium mineralisation, and demonstrate extensions at depth and along strike of the existing Mineral Resource.

Speaking on the results, Pan Asia Metals Managing Director Paul Lock commented: “We are very pleased with the results from this batch of drilling.

The assay results for RKDD058-061 are strong and support our model of extensive lithium mineralisation. The visual results from RKDD062-068 as detailed herein are also very pleasing.

“This all provides a very strong indication that we will see a good uplift to the Mineral Resource Estimate later this year”

This all provides a very strong indication that we will see a good uplift to the Mineral Resource Estimate later this year.

The extension to RKDD032 was undertaken due to the pegmatite intersections and positive assay results in RKDD047 on the adjacent section to the north.

Whilst we are still awaiting assays the visuals are encouraging and this deeper mineralisation has some potential. The only problem with our results is that it means more drilling – which can only be a good thing.”

The company reports it is progressing toward a Scoping Study and these recent results and policy developments in Thailand, as well as the accelerating growth in global EV demand, “are all extremely positive for Pan Asia Metals”.

The company also notes that infill drilling results also support the enhancement of the project’s existing Mineral Resource, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth.

In addition, it is expected that these results will aid in the company’s plans for the delivery of a Mineral Resource upgrade and Scoping Study which is expected for later this year.

The Reung Kiet Lithium Project is located in southern Thailand and currently boasts a JORC 2012 compliant total Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 10.4Mt @ 0.44% Li2O (Reung Kiet Li Prospect) and an exploration target (JORC 2012, drill supported) defined MRE of  8-14Mt @ 0.5-0.8% Li2O (Bang I Tum Li Prospect).

The project also comprises two main prospects, as well as a combined prospective strike length of >2.5km.

With metallurgical drilling still ongoing, Pan Asia announces it will move forward with drilling planned at the Bang I Tum lithium prospect to evaluate the recently explored exploration target.
