OzAurum intersects new 56m gold zone from RC drilling at Mulgabbie North

OzAurum Resources (ASX: OZM) has announced the presence of ‘significant’ wide zones of gold mineralisation from a recently-commenced 7,500m RC drilling campaign at its Mulgabbie North Project near Kalgoorlie.

The results, generated from 1,630m of drilling across 11 holes within the project’s Demag Zone, include ‘significant’ wide zones of gold mineralisation with grades reaching up to 12.15g/t Au.

Key intercepts include:

  • Hole MNORC177: 56m @ 1.31g/t Au from 68m, incl
    • 18m @ 2.07g/t Au
  • Hole MNORC176: 26m @ 1.79g/t Au from 136m, incl.
    • 8m @ 4.78g/t Au
  • Hole MNORC174: 28m @ 1.00g/t Au from 72m, incl.
    • 4m @ 2.32g/t Au
  • Hole MNORC180: 11m @ 1.90g/t Au from 49m, incl.
    • 1m @ 12.15g/t Au
  • Hole NORC178: 11m @ 1.13g/t Au from 103m, incl.
    • 5m @ 2.06g/t Au

Speaking on the results, CEO and Managing Director Andrew Pumphrey said: “The new virgin gold discovery at the Mulgabbie North Demag Zone has intersected significant gold mineralisation in a number of RC drill holes.

These excellent results further validate the potential of the Mulgabbie North Gold Project to be a significant gold discovery”

These excellent results further validate the potential of the Mulgabbie North Gold Project to be a significant gold discovery situated right alongside the Northern Star Carouse Dam Mill.”

The company notes that these results confirm mineralisation over 1.3km of strike, and combined with previous AC drill results, highlight Mulgabbie North’s potential to become a ‘significant’ gold project.

The 100%-owned Mulgabbie North encompasses 10km of greenstone belt geology, with OzAurum currently exploring 8km of strike adjacent to Northern Star’s (ASX: NST) Carosue Dam Mine and its adjoining 3.5 Moz NST Karari and Whriling Dervish gold mines.

With RC drilling now complete, OzAurum reports that it will move forward with high-priority followup RC and Diamond drilling campaigns at the Demag Zone as soon as drill rigs become available. This will be paired with further RC work at the nearby Ben and James prospects.
