Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) has restarted drilling at the Bousquet Gold Project in Québec, following up on results from a maiden drilling campaign in 2025.
The company is targeting exploration at the Paquin prospect, conducting drilling across eight diamond holes for 1,200m to gain a better understanding of the Paquin gold system.
Olympio says the gold system has historically been explored, though drilling was unreliable.
Two holes will follow up on visible gold that was intersected at hole BO-25-27, testing up-plunge and up-dip positions.
Drilling results from last year’s campaign include 6.4m @ 6.54 grams per tonne gold from 183m, 7.9m @ 6.2g/t gold from 138m, and 1.5m @ 54.2g/t gold from 235.5m.
Managing Director Sean Delaney says the company is excited to follow up on last year’s success at Bousquet.
“This program will provide further insight to the shallower parts of the Paquin gold system, where the majority of historical drill coverage is from the 1940s,” Delaney says.
“These historical datasets are over 80 years old and are not reliable to incorporate into a 3D model, with outdated survey methods and incomplete sampling intervals.”
Located on the Cadillac-Lake Larder Fault Zone in Québec, the Bousquet Project is described as an ‘advanced’ gold asset.
