Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) is following up on more than 100 gold targets at the Bousquet Project in Québec with drilling planned later this month.
The company recently returned 303 soil samples at the project, targeting the B horizon across a total area of 1.6km2 for 10 strips, returning results up to 0.58 grams per tonne gold.
Soil sampling delineated a pathfinder trend at the T1 target within Bousquet. The T1 target intersected 105m @ 0.22g/t gold from 150m.
Managing Director Sean Delaney says Olympio is excited to confirm the prospectivity of T1 from soils currently being developed.
“The broad scale gold results within the tonalite intrusion highlights that there is more to Bousquet than the historical prospects,” Delaney says.
“The recent soils campaign has demonstrated that the method is a viable option for systematic exploration of some of these key target areas.
“The team will progressively rank and begin approval processes to ensure the company has a robust pipeline of prospective ‘drill ready’ exploration targets across Bousquet.”
The company has the option to acquire an 80% stake in the project for a total cash and share payment of C$1.25 million to Bullion Gold Resources, as well as exploration investment totalling C$2 million ($2.08 million).
Located on the Cadillac-Lake Larder Fault Zone in Québec, the Bousquet Project is described as an ‘advanced’ gold asset.
