Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) has confirmed the existence of numerous pegmatite outcrops at its Cadillac Lithium Project in Quebec, Canada, highlighting the prospectivity of the asset.
This news comes from observations made by the Olympio team during a site visit to the project.
Moreover, Olympio says the ‘high-quality’ infrastructure in place nearby to the Cadillac will support the exploration and development of the project.
The $12.27 million market capitalisation company is currently compiling data for the project from vendors Vision Lithium and developing an initial exploration plan for Cadillac.
Olympio has also engaged Rouyn-Noranda-based consultancy Technominex to provide exploration services at Cadillac. Technominex is an exploration services company based 45km from the project and will begin fieldwork next week.
Commenting on the planned exploration, Olympio Metals Managing Director Sean Delaney says: “The Vision Lithium team has been very helpful this week taking us to the Cadillac site and the core storage facilities and assisting in any way they can.
It was also great to visit Technominex’s facilities and meet their experienced geology and logistics team. Val d’Or is very similar to regional mining centres in Australia, such as Kalgoorlie.
“With over 100 years of mining in the district, the workforce and supporting industries in the city will make exploration considerably easier than working in a remote area”
