Olympio kicks off phase three drilling after ‘bonanza’ intercept

Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) has started its phase three drilling campaign at the Paquin prospect within the Bousquet Gold Project in Québec, following the announcement of a ‘bonanza’ intercept.

As reported by Mining.com.au in April, the company highlighted a ‘bonanza’ gold intercept from phase two of drilling, returning 19.4m @ 17.29 grams per tonne gold from 172.5m.

Olympio will conduct 1,500m of diamond drilling in phase three, focusing on lateral and down-dip extensions to the lode.

Phase three targets were identified based on preliminary data received from a downhole televiewer survey completed in May 2026. The survey covered 2,253m, with remaining data being processed and interpreted.

Full results from the survey are expected in the coming weeks.

Managing Director Sean Delaney says the company is excited to be back drilling at the project after returning its “best-ever intercept to date” from phase two.

“This program will help us define the dimensions of the high-grade lode at Paquin and begin to test the potential of the system at depth,” Delaney says.

The campaign commences on the heels of the company increasing its ownership in the project last month. Olympio now holds a 51% stake in Bousquet following the completion of a commitment milestone, as reported.

The company will be able to earn up to 80% of the project through further milestones.

Olympio Metals is a gold explorer focused on discovering and developing its portfolio of assets in Canada and the US.
