Olympio completes preliminary Bousquet soil sampling program

Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) has completed a preliminary soil sampling program at the Bousquet Gold Project with a review of the recent drilling ongoing and final assay results imminent.

Some 290 samples were taken in north-west trending traverses at 50x50m spacing. The company’s geology team is also taking additional samples from historical drill cores, targeting key down-dip and down-plunge positions as guided by the developing structural model at the Paquin prospect.

Managing Director Sean Delaney says the results of the soil sampling program will determine suitability for implementation across the Bousquet Gold Project.

“Soil sampling is a cost-effective method of gaining broad-scale coverage of the project area, and will help with targeting for Olympio’s follow-up drill program,” Delaney says.

“In addition, we are starting a resampling program of historical drill core at key locations at the Paquin prospect following an update of our geological model. This work will ensure Olympio has a complete assay dataset of the mineralised gold lodes at Paquin.”

Olympio has the option to acquire an 80% interest in the Bousquet Project in Canada from Bullion Gold Resources for C$1.25 million (cash and shares) and an exploration investment of C$2 million.

Bullion Gold will retain a 20% undivided interest in the project.

The results come as on 1 December 2025 Olympio signed a binding asset purchase agreement with Fokus Mining Corporation (TSX-V:FKM) to acquire the Dufay Project in Canada, as part of the company’s strategy to focus on the Bousquet Gold Project, as reported

Under the asset purchase agreement, Fokus will pay a combination of cash and shares, totalling C$500,000 once all conditions have been met which is expected in Q1 2026. The conditions required include TSX-V approval for issuing shares.

The divestment provides additional funding to focus on the Bousquet Project, where Olympio recently completed a 7,083m diamond drilling program.
