A New South Wales gold mine is expanding its fleet with technology provider RCT’s multi-machine automation system – AutoNav – with four more machines to add to their fleet.
RCT’s AutoNav system delivers five scalable levels of automation, from the simplest to the most comprehensive.
AutoNav were installed on four more of the Sandvik LH621i loaders. The open pit and underground gold operation operates its fleet of AutoNav loaders from three AutoNav centres, strategically placed onsite at various vantage points.
Brisbane Manager Owen Perrott says operators manage the autonomous loaders from two surface stations and one underground cabin.
“There is a myriad of benefits from having the same automation applied across a client’s entire fleet,” Perrott says.
“This includes an increase in productivity across the board as everyone is familiar with the technology and how it works.”
RCT is a global agnostic machine control technology provider that works within the mining and resources sector.
