Novo Resources (ASX:NVO) has completed its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Wyloo Polymetallic Project, returning ‘high-grade’ silver and antimony intercepts from surface.
The 16-hole program at the Wyloo SE prospect totalled 2,615m and confirmed a significant hydrothermal alteration system.
Standout results included 9m @ 92g/t silver (Ag) and 1,280 parts per million (ppm) antimony (Sb) from surface in hole 26WYR001, including 1m @ 460g/t Ag and 1,425ppm Ab from 2m.
“At Wyloo, we set out to test a series of surface anomalies and geological interpretations,” Acting CEO Mike Spreadborough says.
“The maiden drilling has confirmed a genuine hydrothermal system — strong silver and antimony grades from surface at Wyloo SE, broad zones of zinc mineralisation, and now the Vera anomaly extending the footprint well beyond where we have drilled.”
Drilling intersected broad zones of zinc mineralisation across multiple holes, with the most ‘significant’ returning 3m @ 3.60% zinc (Zn) within a broader 27m zone above 0.10% Zn in hole 26WYR016.
Geochemical soil and rock chip sampling at the newly identified Vera prospect highlighted a significant 260m wide by 600m long antimony-arsenic anomaly.
Peak soil results returned 803ppm Sb and 1,265ppm arsenic (As), while rock chip samples yielded up to 3.50% Ab, 33.2ppm Ag, 1.40% Zn, and 2.10% lead.
The company has increased focus on the Kavira prospect, showing a coherent 2.5km by 800m ‘high-order’ antimony stream anomaly. A priority heritage survey is planned for H2 2026 to facilitate drilling.
Novo has expanded its ground position at the Toolunga Copper-Gold Project from 1,520km2 to 2,242km2, identifying three high-priority coincident magnetic-gravity targets with IOCG characteristics.
“Equally pleasing is Toolunga, where our geological model and re-processed geophysics have delivered three coincident magnetic-gravity targets with genuine IOCG characteristics — a style of mineralisation that, when it works, can host very large deposits,” Spreadborough adds.
NVO completed a 23-hole RC program totalling 2,647m at the Cronus prospect, targeting strike extensions of the Titan Shear Zone. Assays remain outstanding for seven holes.
Novo Resources is a diversified explorer advancing gold, silver, and base metals projects across Western Australia.
