Gold-focused exploration company North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) has seen its share price rise 20% on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today (24 August).
The company is now trading at $0.024 per share, up from Friday’s close of $0.020.
The price jump follows North Stawell’s announcement that recent drilling has extended a ‘high-grade’ gold system at its Darlington prospect in Victoria, as reported by Mining.com.au.
North Stawell is focused on advancing a portfolio of tenements across Victoria’s highly prospective Stawell Corridor.
To date, the company has 373.87 million shares on issue through the ASX and has a market capitalisation of $7.47 million.
North Stawell listed on the bourse in September 2020.
The ASX is up 64.10 points today, representing a 0.71% increase. The materials sector is leading this charge with a 1.91% increase.
Other high-performing companies include Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL), which is up 13.69%, and IperionX (ASX:IPX), which is up 10.21%.
