“The mood heading into this Noosa event remains upbeat”.
Organisers of the biannual Noosa Mining Investor Conference are seeing the positive momentum continue in the resources space as they prepare to again welcome junior explorers and investors to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
“Investors are back on the hunt for quality, and the focus has swung firmly to gold, silver and copper,” Phil Dickinson, Managing Director of Equity Events, tells Mining.com.au.
“Gold’s been a standout performer, copper’s gaining momentum, and there’s real appetite for stories with substance and near-term results.”
Gold has surged another 67% year-to-date in 2025 and is now selling for over US$4,350 ($6,684) an ounce.
Silver is now also gaining pace, having spiked 87% since the start of the year and last week marking a new all-time high of over US$54 an ounce.
LME copper, meanwhile, has climbed about 24% since April to over US$10,690 a tonne.
This buoyant market is witnessing investor funds increasingly flow down into the junior explorers, as supply across various commodities tightens and the world looks to see where the next generation of mines will come from.
Dickinson says the line-up for the upcoming Noosa Mining Investor Conference, which runs from 12-14 November, reflects that shift – strong explorers, capable management and plenty of news flow ahead.
“There’s still some interest in the battery space, but right now the real energy is around the traditional metals driving value back into the market,” he says.
Dickinson says there is a great mix of new voices joining the program this time, including first-time presenters like Energy Transition Minerals (ASX:ETM), Australian Strategic Materials (ASX:ASM), St George Mining (ASX:SGQ), Ballard Mining (ASX:BM1), Talga Group (ASX:TLG) and West Wits Mining (ASX:WWI).

“It adds real depth and variety to the line-up, with plenty of fresh stories and exploration news,” he says.
“We’re also thrilled to have Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) on board, a name steeped in Australia’s mining heritage, which brings a nice link between tradition and the next generation of resource developers.”
Broken Hill Mines, formerly Coolabah Metals, consolidated two of three mining companies that control all current silver, lead and zinc operations in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
This brought into the same portfolio two historical silver-lead-zinc mines – Rasp and Pinnacles.
The Broken Hill orebody is the largest and richest silver-lead-zinc orebody in the world. The system has produced over 1 billion ounces of silver, 28 million tonnes of lead and 24 million tonnes of zinc since 1885 and led to the formation of BHP (ASX:BHP).
The Rasp mine was named after Charles Rasp, who is believed to be the first person to realise the economic potential of the deposits at Broken Hill.
Last year’s Noosa Mining event attracted more than 500 in-person delegates, while another 420 joined online.
“With interest building strongly for November, we’re expecting bigger numbers this year, both on the ground at Peppers and online, as more investors look to tap into the fresh stories and opportunities emerging across Australia’s mining and exploration scene,” Dickinson says.

Over the three-day event, investors will hear from more than 60 ASX-listed explorers and developers.
Other presenters include Rokeby Resources (ASX:RKB), Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ), Pacgold (ASX:PGO), Zeotech (ASX:ZEO), Basin Energy (ASX:BSN), Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN), Terra Metals (ASX:TM1), Black Canyon (ASX:BCA), Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) and Yari Minerals (ASX:YAR).
Dickinson says events like Noosa play a big role in building confidence and momentum in Australia’s mining sector.
“The relaxed Noosa setting encourages genuine conversations that often spark fresh investment interest,” he explains.
“By giving companies a platform to share their stories and investors the chance to see potential up close, the conference helps keep capital flowing and supports the next wave of mining success stories.”
All presentations are streamed live, with replays available on Noosa Mining’s website soon after each session.
“November’s a busy time for many developers, but it’s also the perfect moment to reconnect before year’s end and look ahead to the next exploration cycle,” Dickinson concludes.
