NOA Lithium Brines (TSX-V:NOAL) has designed its first production well at the Rio Grande Lithium Project in Salta, Argentina, after completing borehole magnetic resonance logging on an exploratory hole.
Hole RT-RG26-PW002 reached its planned depth of 504m, while a second rig has drilled RT-RG26-PW001 to 254m.
Both rigs remain operational as part of NOA’s 2026 exploration program, which is assessing deep brine-bearing aquifers and refining the project’s hydrogeological and resource models.
CEO Gabriel Rubacha says reaching the planned depth and completing the logging represent important steps towards finalising the production well and beginning the testing phase.
“Reaching the planned depth at RT-RG26-PW002 and completing BMR logging are important steps toward finalising the first production well and advancing the testing phase. We look forward to providing further updates as drilling and testing activities progress,” Rubacha says.
The company says it will release further information as drilling advances and results are compiled.
NOA says it is progressing Rio Grande towards further technical and economic studies. The project forms part of a lithium brine portfolio spanning more than 140,000 hectares across the Rio Grande, Arizaro, and Salinas Grandes salars in Salta province.
